Senior Accountant – Client Manager

The Company

You will be joining a busy office with a diverse client base. A demanding but fulfilling role in a happy team giving flexibility in return for loyalty and commitment.

We are now recruiting for a Senior Accountant – Client Manager, to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to take responsibility for a portfolio of accounting clients.

The Role

Potentially client facing at least over the phone, this individual needs to be customer focused with mindful response time with the clients being prioritised. Smartly presented with good written English.

Experience necessary from a practice back ground of at least three years recently. Preferably ACCA qualified or qualified by experience. Happy to support part qualified ACCA wanting to finish studies.

An aptitude test will be requested before offer. Hybrid working offered as are flexible working hours. Role based in Ravenshead, Nottingham. Ideally 30 hours a week but will consider full time. Salary £35-£40k depending on experience – pro rata.

Key Responsibilities
• Reporting to Director directly
• Working independently
• Producing full finalised accounts to include profit and loss, balance sheet and corporation tax calculations with capital allowance knowledge
• Drafting and submission of Corporation Tax Returns
• VAT returns
• Assisting junior staff

Person Specification / Experience
• Part qualified ACCA, ACA, or qualified by experience.
• Experience within a professional accounting environment.
• Able to effectively manage and support colleagues.
• Excellent client service to all prospective and existing clients
• Organised and experienced with planning of workload, prioritising deadlines and delegating work accordingly to other members of your team.
• Experience with Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/SAGE/TaxCalc
• Experience with cloud accounting software Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent is desirable
• Experience with Digital accounts software would be an advantage
• Full Driving License
• Fluent English language
