We are looking for a new Head of Legal and Casework to build on the successes we have achieved in advancing our members’ rights at work.

National Official (Legal and Casework)
• Salary £77,213 per annum
• 35 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
• 4+ days leave inclusive of closure days and public holidays
• Defined Benefit Pension Scheme
• Based in Birmingham, West Midlands

As Head of our Legal and Casework team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the highest quality legal support service is provided to members, lay officials and casework staff across the UK, and that the Trade Union and Labour Relations Act (TULRA) is fully complied with, especially in respect of both national and local ballots for industrial action.

Leading the Union’s Legal and Casework Team, you will be responsible for providing an excellent legal service that delivers wins for members and provides good value for money. You will also be responsible for the development of our casework management systems and leading staff development and professional learning.

You Will Be Able To Demonstrate
• your ability to manage a large team whilst working under pressure
• an excellent understanding of employment and trade union law
• a strong focus on customer service
• a strong commitment to the goals of the trade union movement and to advancing equal opportunities and anti-discrimination
