Senior Tax Accountant | VC|backed Scale Up | Remote | Outside IR35

Job description
We are currently working with an exciting business who are exponentially growing, and are in need of a Senior Tax Accountant to come into the team for a year-long contract.

You'll be reporting into the Head of Global Accounting and Finance Operations, who is working to build out an accounting hub in Berlin, Germany. This role involves working closely with that team, but can be performed remotely.

They need a Senior Tax Accountant who has strong experience navigating European VAT, US sales tax, and corporate income tax. There will be a split across tax and accounting responsibilities.

The wider team included a GL accounting team of four people, with a US-based AP team. The business report under IFRS and US GAAP, and have recently implemented NetSuite ERP. A big deliverable within this contract would be the implementation of a new tax module, NetSuite Suite Tax. Any previous experience implementing systems would be beneficial.

The business is rapidly expanding, and there are many projects which will be happening in the coming year. There will be a lot of interesting M&A activity from a tax and accounting perspective for this person to be involved with. The business moves quickly, and as such they need someone who is used to navigating fast-paced environments and is able to take on a broad scope of responsibilities.

The business operates in an English environment, but familiarity with German would be useful, in order to be able to deal with external parties.

This is a year-long contract, which sits Outside IR35. The team is based in Berlin, but this contract can be undertaken remotely, with occasional day of work in their Central London offices.
