Who We're Looking For

High- Level Job Description:

The Accountant II is a critical member of our Syniverse Accounting Team. In this role you will be responsible for general ledger (and potentially subledger) journal entry posting during the month- end close process, analysis of entity and consolidated financial data, monthly account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), statutory compliance activities, financial reporting support and special projects.

Some of What You'll Do

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist with month- end close process, including the posting of journal entries into the SAP ledger system, assisting in the creating of supporting documentation, and posting journal entries as needed.
• Preparation of monthly account reconciliations, providing proper support, documentation and identifying and posting any reconciling items.
• Prepare schedules and provide support for external auditors .
• Provide support for SOX compliance, ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures in accordance with SOX.
• Assist in special projects as needed.

• Skills:

– Strong oral and written communication skills
– Strong analytical skills
– Self- motivated and able to work independently
– Ability to build professional, effective working relationships with others
– Strong organizational and time management skills, proven ability to drive tasks to completion
– Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
• Language: Fluent in English oral and written skills
• Technology Experience: SAP

Special Skills/Preferences:
• Technology/Telecom Industry experience preferred
• U.S. GAAP and working knowledge of IFRS

Education/Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CA preferred
• 1+ years of experience (some level of Public accounting preferred)
