Job Description

Qualifications
Four-year College Degree in at least one STEM major (Science; Technology; Engineering; Math) and a minimum of six (6) years of experience with full life cycle embedded software development in electronics; or a minimum of fifteen (15) years of full life cycle embedded software development in electronics
Minimum three (3) years leading a team of software engineers with a formal development process such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, or Extreme Programming
Proficient with C, C++, Java and Object Oriented Design (OOD)
Experience in designing, developing and debugging software in a real-time or high-level operating system like Android, QNX/Linux based embedded systems
Have a strong understanding of hardware
Experience with media, USB, iAP protocol analyzers and debuggers
Knowledge and prototyping of new multimedia technologies and advanced concepts
Participation in industry forums and standard bodies to acquire knowledge of future trends in relevant technology areas
Experience in working with chipset suppliers and evaluation modules
Experience in software requirement analysis, estimates, design reviews, failure modes effects analysis and functional safety
Working knowledge of Software Configuration Management (SCM) systems
Working knowledge of a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience working in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Windows-based databases

Design and develop middleware solutions for automotive applications, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability
Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate middleware with various vehicle systems (e.g., infotainment, ADAS, vehicle networking)
Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning to ensure the quality of software deliverables
Implement best practices in software development, including Agile methodologies, version control, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
Analyze and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the team
Stay updated with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in automotive software development
Leads and/or participates in meetings between PASA, suppliers, and PASA’s customers for design reviews, track project status and communicate with team and management regarding development activities, project schedule, cost, issues, and risks

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets the demands of modern vehicles.

a Day In The Life
• Design and develop middleware solutions for automotive applications, focusing on performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with hardware and software teams to integrate middleware with various vehicle systems (e.g., infotainment, ADAS, vehicle networking).
