The Branksome Hotel & Residences (TBHR), situated within walking distance of Mascot Station and the Domestic airport, provides luxury serviced apartments for short or long stay guests. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team as Part-time Accounts Officer. This role is 3 days (22.8 hours) per week.


Your duties will include:


Review of Opera mapping to ensure correct figures are available for import into accounting system
Assists in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other tasks within the Finance department.
Reconciliation of accounts payable batches and Opera ledgers
Reconciliation between the General Ledger and Subsidiary Ledgers
Assist in month end closing and maintenance of support schedules
Control and monitor prompt and accurate billing (includes group billing)
Raising invoices and processing refunds as requested
Responding to queries from guests as they arise
Action credit card disputes and charge backs inquiries on timely basis
General filing, scanning and other administrative duties

We are looking for someone with:


Tertiary qualification (or working towards) a qualification in Finance or Accounting.
Relevant finance experience in hospitality industry, with experience or familiarity with Opera, highly advantageous.
Working knowledge of MYOB accounting software
Technical and practical experience in payroll processing, highly advantageous
Ability to work in a fast paced team environment and meets strict deadlines
Strong eye for detail and high regard to confidentiality
Excellent communication skills; including both verbal and written.
Advanced skills in MS Office applications particularly Microsoft Excel
