Position: Full-Time English Teacher (Permanent)

The Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic team in January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a key role in helping students develop a love for English Literature and Language, supporting their progress through well-planned lessons, assessments, and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Inspire students to develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support
• Contribute to the development of the English department and participate in school-wide initiatives
• Ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment
• Support the personal and academic development of students through pastoral care

About You
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree in English or a related subject
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching English
• Experience teaching English to secondary school students, including GCSE and A-Level
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and achieving the best outcomes for all students
• Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities and school life
