Currently IEC Advisory provides services to a variety of business clients in Central & Western NSW, covering the Orana Region and also large portions of the Central West Region.

About the role:

The role is flexible to the aspirations of the applicant, being either a bookkeeper or a trainee accountant.

The day-to-day work of the bookkeeper role will support the team in service delivery to clients, also more directly supporting clients with financial record keeping and reporting. The role will involve the use of modern systems and technology to complete these tasks.

Subject to the aspirations of the applicant the Trainee Accountant role will include work across all areas of the firm; introduction to client service & administration, accounts payable and receivable, general accounting, taxation, and other project work. You will gain experience and play an increasing role in the completion of general accounting tasks including end of month / year accounting reconciliation, special purpose financial reports, taxation & compliance reporting.

Required Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in customer service or administration (accounting or non-accounting related) is highly desirable but not essential
Previous experience in bookkeeping, Microsoft office, Xero & Hubdoc, is desirable but not essential.
A strong interest in the industry and elements of financial reporting is essential.
Completed your HSC or equivalent (or will do in 2026), with proven academic achievement via transcripts is desirable.
