Description

The Consumer Lender is responsible for processing consumer loan applications and managing the consumer loan portfolio for all markets. This position will work directly with the Relationship Bankers and applicants to ensure that loans issued meet the Bank’s policy guidelines and conform with consumer lending law.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
• Partners with the Relationship Bankers to process consumer lending applications for all markets; approves applications up to a specified amount.
• Coordinates the preparation, review, and execution of required loan documentation, organizes workflow for loan renewal, and follows up with appropriate parties for missing loan documentation, as necessary.
• Manages the consumer lending portfolio to manage collections and maintain acceptable levels of delinquency, documentation requirements, and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
• Works with leadership to maximize the Bank’s earnings and minimize losses from consumer lending activities.
• Promotes an outstanding customer experience by exemplifying prompt follow-up and proactive customer communication.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in consumer lending role, required.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
• Advanced understanding of consumer loan documentation.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
