Qualifications
EXP: 10YRS
Individuals need to have knowledge of mainframe storage and backup processing and need to have hands-on experience with IBM mainframe IPL processes managing multiple z/OS LPARs as required by the client
Individual needs to be experienced with third-party software from the following vendors: Broadcom; Computer Associates (CA); Chicago-Soft; Levi Ray & Shoup, Inc.; Merrill Consultants; Phoenix Software International; Rocket Software, Inc.; and SAS Institute

Required skills/Level of Experience :
10+ years of experience with z/OS and z/OS third-party product installation, configuration, and upgrade planning
5+ years experience supporting a stabilized IBM mainframe system environment
SMP/E
JES2
RACF, ACF2, and Top Secret administration
Mainframe hardware (z15 & z16)
TCP/IP
DF/SMS, catalog management
Sysplex
Expert knowledge of file formats (PS, PO, PDS, PDS/E, z/FS, and VSAM/E)
Good knowledge of Workload Manager for z/OS
Reporting for z/OS, familiar with security reports
z/OS system-level parameters
Evaluation of new z/OS third-party products
Monitoring system software access, performance, and resource utilization
Report and resolve software problems with product-level support
Diagnose, isolate, and resolve operating system, third-party, and utility software problems
Proficient in Audits
Problem determination skills
Nice to have skills:
Strong communication skills – written and verbal
Strong curiosity about client business needs, coupled with a passion to stay on the cutting edge
Consulting skills including team building, flexibility, and client-facing skills
Ability to demonstrate skills in analysis, design, implementation, and development processes
Experience with Federal Government client
Responsibilities

Task Description:
