Lead Software Engineer

Job description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join a dynamic team in a hybrid role. This position requires 2 days a week in the Eastbourne office and involves leading a team of 4 software engineers. In this role, you will play a key part in architecting, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions, while also providing guidance and mentorship to the team. You’ll help foster an innovative and collaborative environment and contribute to the technical direction of our products, ensuring they meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:
• Designing and implementing scalable software solutions.
• Overseeing all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
• Collaborating with key stakeholders, including project managers and customers.
• Maintaining coding standards and best practices while troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 1 year in a senior role.
• Expertise in C# and .NET, with experience managing legacy VB platforms.
• Team leadership experience.
• Knowledge of Azure and Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
