Responsibilities
This position is responsible for the insurance entity's accounting records, close process, budgeting, forecasting and reporting
The position also collaborates with Financial Reporting in preparation and review of consolidated schedules and regulatory filings

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00

Summary:

This position is responsible for the insurance entity's accounting records, close process, budgeting, forecasting and reporting. The position also collaborates with Financial Reporting in preparation and review of consolidated schedules and regulatory filings.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Complete insurance entity close, including insurance, intercompany and investment accounting, journal entry preparations, and financial analysis
• Prepare entity, insurance and consolidated reports and audit schedules
• Prepare budgets, weekly forecasts, and variance analysis
• Prepare and proof various filings for regulatory agencies

Required Minimum Experience and Education:
• 4 years of experience in accounting
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience and Education:
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of insurance and claims processes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail, timeliness and accuracy
