Job description
We are looking for Mechanics!

(up to 3-month contract)

The Short Version
• Where? Onsite, at our Beckton warehouse
• Is it Full time or Part Time? Both! We are looking for Full and Part- timers
• Shift patterns? Monday- Friday, between 7am and 4pm
• Hours per week? 12- 37.5 hours per week
• Salaries? Between £24,000 (Junior) - £28,000 (Senior) per year

Are you passionate about cycling, sustainability, and getting your hands dirty? Bike Club, leading the charge in children’s bike subscription services, is hunting for dedicated mechanics to rev up the operations for our UK cyclists. We are looking for mechanics of all levels from junior, intermediate all the way up to senior. No formal experience required – if you’re passionate about bikes and are eager to learn new skills this could be the job for you!

Tasks
• Meet daily targets: Produce a minimum of
• Junior: 12 new bikes/ 8 reBikes per day
• Intermediate: 15 new bikes / 10 reBikes per day
• Senior: 20new bikes/15 reBikes per day
• Ensure bikes meet BC quality standards during preparation.
• Adherence to operational workflow and proactively share new ideas to create efficiency and improvements.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, including maintaining tidiness in the workshop.
• Report quality control issues to the Operations Team.

Requirements

You have a passion for Bike Club’s mission, and a talent for all things mechanical. On top of that:
• Junior: You know your way around a bike, and are interested in learning more, no formal training.
• Intermediate: You have had some formal training and/or worked in a bike shop before, and know how to fix most common mechanical issues
• Senior: Fixing bikes is second nature to you, you’ve worked as a mechanic before and are keen to take your skills to the next level working on everything from balance bikes to junior mountain bikes.
