The Role

We’re looking for a Accounts Assistant to join us on a permanent basis in our office in Hammersmith. If are you are hardworking, dedicated and willing to learn the ins and outs of accounting, then this may be the role for you.

This position will be based initially full-time in our office in Hammersmith (for training etc.) and move to a hybrid working pattern afterwards with 1 day working from home.

Day to Day work
• Manage AP inbox’s
• Matching and processing high volume and multi-currency purchase invoices into the accounting system Invoices in accordance with IR35 and auto enrolment rules.
• Work with production staff to resolve delivery or price variances that come up during the matching process and with supplier external queries.
• Assist with reconciliation of supplier statements, following up on invoice queries and alerting S+V accountants of any areas of concern.
• Full start to finish payment run process via BACS, Same Day and International Payments.
• for invoices sending out remittances and filing invoices once paid.
• Posting a full range of journals such as VAT reversal Journals
• Dealing with freelancer payment queries in a professional and courteous manner by order of priority. Both on the telephone and e-mail and via Teams
• Dealing with internal queries on payments and invoices in a professional manner.
• Manage a set payment run for staff expenses.
• Process per diems’ payments
• Assist and deal with audit queries at financial half year and year-end.
• Drawdown working with Excel use of Pivot Tables & Vlookups
• Cover Freelancer inbox when required.
• Month End schedule preparation
• Ensure reminder emails are sent to production for.
• Preparing the Italy Audit monthly.
• Ad hoc tasks as and when necessary

Qualifications
• Five good GCSE grades including Maths and English at grade 4/c or above
• AAT Level 2 qualified

Training Provided

The Level 3 Assistant Accounting Apprenticeship gives you the theory and on-the-job training to make you an asset in any organisation. With an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification you’ll gain the practical experience and knowledge to pursue accountancy as a career. You’ll become a skilled professional with the A-Level-equivalent certification employers want.
• Qualification – AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting
• Learning style – live online training, online content and coaching
• Duration – typically 15 to 18 months
• Level 2 Functional Skills maths
• Level 2 Functional Skills English

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: £16,770.00 per year
