Position: Criminal Defence Duty Solicitor
Location: Blackburn
Salary: £30,000 - £60,000 DOE

We are working with a reputable law firm in Blackburn that is looking for a dedicated Criminal Defence Duty Solicitor to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities:
• Caseload Management: Handle a variety of criminal defence cases, including Police Station and Magistrates Court representation.
• Out of Hours Rota: Participate in the out-of-hours rota for Police Station attendance.
• Business Development: Actively build and maintain local and regional networks to attract and secure new clients.

Ideal Candidate:
• Hold a current practising certificate (SRA or CILEX) with a strong client following.
• Ability to manage your own caseload and work autonomously.
• Strong advocacy skills and willingness to conduct your own advocacy.
• Proficient in business development and marketing, with the ability to build a caseload.
• Excellent client care skills with a high level of technical competence.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and financial targets.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and proficiency in IT (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• If not already Duty Qualified, a willingness to become accredited.
