Senior Environmental Associate – Law Firm 6+ years PQE Locations : London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Aberdeen Salary: £+0k - £135k depending on location We are seeking a qualified lawyer with 6+ years PQE to join our clients Environment Team, focusing on Climate & Sustainability. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in providing both strategic and regulatory advice on environmental, natural capital, and climate sustainability matters. Additionally, experience in contractual drafting and negotiation is essential. Experience in the following areas is highly desirable: Advising developers on Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). Working on natural capital projects, both in the UK and internationally. Advising on carbon offsetting initiatives in the UK and abroad. Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements related to BNG, Nutrient Neutrality, natural capital investments, carbon offsetting, and other ecosystem services. Advising on broader climate and sustainability issues such as climate reporting and supply chain measures. Drafting and negotiating section 106 agreements and conservation covenants to secure natural capital projects. Their Environment team covers a wide range of environmental law including: Net zero, carbon, biodiversity and natural capital advice, including nature-based solutions, offsetting, and EU /UK ETS compliance. Carbon capture & storage, Water resources, On and off shore renewables, climate change resilience projects, environmental aspects of infrastructure consenting and development. Regulatory advise: nuclear, waste, environmental permitting, water etc. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with a wide variety of climate, sustainability, and environmental issues, while working alongside a top-ranked national team of senior specialists.
