Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a role at Aetrio Architects Private Limited located in Bengaluru. As an Architect role, you will be responsible for submittals, architecture, project management, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED), and Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Qualifications
• B.Arch.
• Experience in submittals, architecture, and project management
• Knowledge of Revit and Building Information Modelling (BIM) is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and presentation skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Architect with over 10 years of experience in infrastructure design, cloud-native applications, and software development. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in architecting solutions using Kubernetes, networking, containerization, and microservices. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive both infrastructure and software development initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and architect scalable infrastructure solutions with a focus on Kubernetes (on-prem, OpenShift) and bare-metal environments.
• Lead the architecture and development of cloud-native applications, with a focus on networking, microservices, and containerized workloads.
• Develop and maintain efficient networking solutions including Ingress Controllers (NGINX, Traefik, HAProxy, Kong) to manage traffic and secure APIs.
• Architect and manage NATS and MQTT clusters within Kubernetes for high-performance messaging solutions.
• Oversee the implementation of infrastructure management and monitoring solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.
• Design and implement application monitoring strategies using tools like Datadog and New Relic.
• Architect and develop software solutions using NodeJS, Python, and RESTful APIs.
• Work with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure efficient CI/CD pipelines and software deployment.
• Integrate Kafka for distributed data streaming and develop reliable messaging frameworks.
• Ensure security protocols (including TLS) are embedded into all infrastructure and software solutions.
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to align architectural decisions with organizational goals and technical requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and infrastructure design.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve system architecture.
Skills & Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in software architecture and infrastructure management, with hands-on expertise in both areas.
• Extensive experience with Kubernetes (on-prem, OpenShift) and container orchestration.
• Deep understanding of networking technologies and tools (NGINX, Traefik, HAProxy, Kong) with experience designing robust ingress solutions.
• Expertise in messaging protocols and cluster management for NATS and MQTT within Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with infrastructure monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK stack.
• Strong application monitoring experience with Datadog, New Relic, or similar tools.
• Advanced knowledge of NodeJS, Python, and REST API development for microservices architecture.
• Expertise with Docker and containerized workloads for scalable software development and deployment.
• Experience in Kafka for distributed messaging and event streaming.
• In-depth knowledge of TLS and security best practices for infrastructure and software applications.
• Familiarity with MQTT/NATS protocol SDKs and the ability to integrate them into software solutions.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, including experience with Postgres databases and backend communication patterns.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams and technical domains.
Nice-to-Have:
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
• Familiarity with advanced security measures in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Proven experience in leading large-scale software development projects.
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional certifications in cloud technologies, Kubernetes, or related fields are a plus.
