Our Transport Regional Resource Managers within Asda Logistics Services (ALS) hold overall accountability for the leadership and implementation of transport planning for each of the ASDA depots across the country.

You'll be responsible for:
• Delivery of efficient transport plans, load building and managing driver resourcing through local delivery.
• Delivering all key commercial targets through the execution of the commercial agenda.
• Using data to identify trends, enabling data-led decision making and supporting continuous improvement.
• Engagement of key stakeholders across the regions to support smooth implementation and delivery of the plans.
• Building strong relationships with third parties to ensure the cost and customer agendas are delivered.
• Acting as a strong coach and mentor to your team, driving a high-performance culture.
• Driving a truly inclusive culture and developing a diverse team of future talent.
• Supporting the compliance agenda and addressing action plans to drive continuous improvement.
You'll need to be organised and have excellent written and verbal communication skills as the role will require you to network with colleagues from all areas of the business. Previous transport planning experience is essential as well as good IT skills. You'll need to be flexible and adaptable to allow you to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment. You'll have experience of managing teams and being a strong coach and mentor.
