SQL Developer

We, at Turing, are looking for talented SQL developers who have a proven track record of designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance. You’ll be working with top U.S companies & will be developing highly efficient SQL queries.

Responsibilities:
- Handle common database procedures such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
- Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
- Develop high-quality database solutions
- Suggest new queries and analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements
- Develop procedures and scripts for data migration
- Perform analyses to drive decisions and optimize efforts for database enhancements

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience as a SQL Developer (rare exceptions for highly skilled candidates)
- Proficiency with Microsoft T-SQL
- Capable of configuring popular database engines and orchestrating clusters
- Effectively prioritize and manage concurrent projects, demonstrate initiative, and work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred skills:
- Knowledge of large, relational databases and data structures
- Knowledge of cloud computing services like AWS, GCP, etc.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
- Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications
- Familiarity working with .NET framework, JavaScript, HTML, and Oracle
- In-depth understanding of data management (e.g., permissions, recovery, and monitoring)
