Description

Position Overview :

Responsible for the safe and timely pickup and delivery of customer vehicles with a Company supplied truck that will be towed behind customers vehicle.

Work involves attention to detail and working under limited supervision. Must have and maintain a clean and valid Commercial Driver License (Class B Minimum), with the ability to drive multiple different types of equipment (manual and automatic transmission).
• Pickup customer vehicles
• Deliver customer vehicles once repair work is completed
• Perform road test for complaint verification & repair validation
• Pick up and deliver customer equipment
• Parts pick up & delivery
• Interacts with customers in a professional and positive manner
• Develops mechanic and electrical skills through assisting experienced mechanics, including field jobs.
• Assists Parts Department with locating inventory and invoicing of parts
• Clean / prepare parts; performs R / Rs for minor repairs under supervision
• Maintains working area in a neat and organized condition
• Attends classroom training sessions as assigned
• Assists other technicians with repair procedures as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills :
• Ability to recognize and differentiate diesel engine and transmission parts.
• Capable of safely operating a forklift
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Some analytical ability where problems are not difficult or complex.
• Ability to read and understand procedures and documents applicable to the job.
• Class A or B California driver's license and clean DMV history- Required.

Education & Experience :
• High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and / or relevant experience.
• Previous warehouse experience desired.
