The School of Education Te Kura Mātauranga in the Faculty of Culture and Society, Auckland University of Technology, is a leading provider of education programmes at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are seeking applications for suitably qualified lecturer to support our Primary and/or Secondary Initial Teacher Education courses, offered at our Akoranga, City and Manukau campuses. Applicants should have relevant professional experience and should state their experience, curriculum strengths and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Current teacher registration with the New Zealand Teaching Council is a requirement as the successful applicants will be expected to visit and assess student teachers on practicum.
He kōrero mōu | About you
Applicants will preferably hold a Doctoral degree,
will be research-active, and
willing to make a contribution to the academic community of the School of Education.

This role is considered a children's worker role and will be subject to safety checking as part of the Children's Act 2014.
