Accounts Assistant Job ID: 32636 Home based 20 Hours per week minimum £18 per hour A leading Accountancy firm in Hampshire are seeking an Accounts Assistant to support their Team on a part-time basis. The role is approximately 20 hrs per week, with the possibility of increasing hours given candidate experience and workload This role is a ‘work from home’ position but the candidate must be located in or around Oxfordshire/Reading area to have the ability to join in our periodic team-work days (Reading) and client visits (London). Job description
• Producing weekly cash flow reports and holding discussions at the weekly meetings (experience with ‘Float’ Software would be an advantage)
• Weekly bookkeeping using Xero Software
• Credit Control
• Dealing with the finance email accounts and actioning accordingly
• Generating month end invoicing and liaising with the team
• Generating and submitting weekly schedules on the factoring software
• Downloading invoices from software portals
• Generating mid-month and month end payment run reports
• Joining weekly meetings with the OPS team and COO
• Available for quarterly visits into London
• Dealing with clients and consultants with any queries Required skills
• Minimum 2 years’ experience within a similar accounting role.
• Strong Excel skills essential.
• Strong analytical skills, good attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to manage and prioritise workloads.
• Must have a flexible approach to work with initiative and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work to defined monthly timescales with the ability to manage own tasks and multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain long term client relationships.
• Be an organised individual working alongside a senior accountant, ensuring accounts are up to date weekly/monthly.
• Be confident in looking after and liaising directly with our clients, both remotely and in person at client’s premises
