Our client, a leading manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Engineering Production Planner to join their team. This role offers a great opportunity for someone with proven experience in a manufacturing environment to support production planning and scheduling across multiple lines, ensuring materials and inventory are available on time.
Job Purpose:
As an Engineering Production Planner, you will be responsible for creating production supply instructions, maintaining capacity plans, managing material orders, and ensuring timely communication between various teams. You will support the Plant Manager with customer queries, production schedules, and inventory management to ensure efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain capacity plans across multiple production lines.
• Ensure production lines have accurate and timely manufacturing instructions.
• Communicate demand fluctuations and capacity concerns to the Plant Manager and Line Leaders.
• Schedule work orders, create purchase orders, and manage inventory in the ERP system.
• Support Plant Manager and Customer Action Teams with queries and schedule changes.
• Maintain and adjust supply orders based on inventory levels and production demand.
• Assist with improving processes and systems to create operational efficiencies.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Strong experience in a similar manufacturing role.
• Excellent MS Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably NAV ERP.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to collect and manage accurate data and create capacity plans.
Personal Attributes:
• Professional, with integrity, calm under pressure.
• A clear communicator with strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and able to motivate others.
• A team player with a proactive approach to improving processes.
