Equipment Technician

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Waitematā District

We are looking for an equipment technician to help us maintain our patient mobility equipment in all Waitematā District clinical areas.

Te Whatu Ora - Waitematā District has two main campuses and various clinics across the region and we need someone who ideally has experience repairing and maintaining Hill ROM and Howard Wright Beds, various makes of stretchers as well as a variety of mobility equipment including wheelchairs, trolleys, plinths and other related equipment.

This position will be based at the North Shore campus but will require travel to other clinics across the region so a full, clean driver’s license will be required.

Ideally you will have

A mechanical qualification and be able to carry out Electrical Safety testing of equipment
Be familiar with our departments, equipment and processes.
Work independently much of the time
Excellent time management skills
Accountable for your work schedules
Able to prioritise workloads as required.
A commitment to health and safety, high work standards and the district values is also a must as is a ‘can do’ attitude.

The position reports to the Clinical Engineering Operations manager and you will be a valued part of our team that helps to keep the hospital running.
