Project Director – The Immerse Project

Effective Date: October 8, 2026

This job description is a summary of the job duties and expectations that are essential to the successful evaluation of the job. It is not intended to be complete in detail. Reporting relationship: Senior Director of Church Culture

Classification: Temporary Full Time, Salary Exempt Classification under the FLSA

Contract Length: From date of hire to June 2026

Salary: $60,000-$65,000

Position summary: The Project Director will oversee the implementation and success of the Immerse Project. Provides direction, vision, and oversight in all project functions. The program will support various churches in a cohort setting, providing services that encourage congregational vitality and community impact. This is a full-time position.

Major duties and responsibilities:

1) Strategic Leadership:

a. Develop and articulate a clear vision for the program aligned with the grant’s objectives and organizational priorities.

b. Collaborate with the Program Manager to ensure program deliverables are met.

c. Engage with stakeholders, including community leaders, partners, pastors, and participating congregations in recruiting efforts.

2) Program Oversight:

a. Oversee the work of the Program Manager and contracted coaches and facilitators.

b. Ensure the program’s strategic objectives are translated into actionable plans.

c. Monitor program progress and adjust as necessary to achieve goals.

3) Community Engagement:

a. Foster relationships with community organizations, pastors, and churches to enhance the program’s reach and impact.

b. Represent the program in public forums, conferences, and networking events.

4) Monitoring and Evaluation:

a. Prepare and present detailed reports on program progress and outcomes to the board, funders, and other stakeholders.

b. Implement an evaluation framework to measure program effectiveness and impact.

c. Introduce pastors, churches, and network leaders to the full offerings of TMS Global.

5) Financial Management:

a. Provide oversight ensuring that all funds are dispersed in accordance with proper regulations and adherence with the grant, in collaboration with the Program Manager.

b. Ensuring proper and timely financial reporting to all stakeholders.

6) Team Management:

a. Provide leadership and support to the Program Manager and contracted team members.

b. Cultivate a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

Job knowledge: The individual should have the capacity to build trust-based relationships, to work on remote teams, as well as to work independently. They must have strong experience in project management and grant and proposal administration. Strong monitoring and evaluation skills and a broad understanding of cross-cultural dynamics are a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills are necessary.

Personal requirements: The individual must be tactful in personal contact and written correspondence related to the various needs of the staff, public, program participants and coaches, donors, partners and church leadership. The individual must enjoy working independently as well as being part of a team.

Accountability: The individual is responsible for the complete and satisfactory execution of their job, with minimal direct supervision. The individual will take direction from the Senior Director of Church Culture. The individual will work closely with the supervisor to ensure consistency and effectiveness of all responsibilities and activities.

Physical requirements: Work should require light to moderate physical activity with a reasonable amount of repetitive motion. This position will require up to 40% off-site travel.
