Trade Advisor
TEAM: Trade Team
DURATION: Permanent
GRADE: Project Manager - £40,++5 - £42,614 per annum
REPORTS TO: Director of Trade

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We are now looking for a Trade Advisor(s) to join our team. The successful candidate will help us deliver on our strategic goals and make sure that we enhance the opportunities for cross-border trade, innovation and clustering co-operation in the years ahead.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In the role of Trade Advisor you will develop, maintain and share an effective knowledge base on specialist trade matters, which will have a positive impact on our business customers every day. You will be responsible for sourcing and maintaining the information, ensuring it is communicated internally and externally through our digital platforms. Working alongside colleagues, you will help us achieve our trade KPIs. Additionally, you will manage relationships with stakeholders within your designated work stream, working closely with businesses and a team of specialist service providers. You will promote the opportunities presented by cross-border trade to businesses, informing them of the different trade requirements between jurisdictions, identifying Trade opportunities and supporting businesses through structured trade programmes and training.

THE IDEAL PERSON WILL HAVE:
• A third level, or equivalent, professional qualification.
• 3 years’ experience providing high level customer care and delivering trade advice directly to a business audience leading to positive economic outcomes.
• Experience developing resources (printed/digital materials and/or training programmes) for use by businesses including design, planning, delivery, monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement.
• An excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy in the development, management and maintenance of business information.
• Experience of working autonomously and being an effective decision maker which has had a direct impact on the successful delivery of a business project(s).
• A high level of IT competency in a business environment, to include a working knowledge and experience in CRM / Database management.
• The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, paying attention to the relevance of the content and the target audience and demonstrating the ability to persuade and influence others.
