Job Summary

As a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting surgical services within the operating room (OR) team, specializing in the treatment of open-heart (cardiovascular) patients. You will ensure that sterile procedures are followed, necessary equipment and medications are available, and patient safety is always assured. CVOR nurses participate in patient care, clinical decision-making, monitoring, and CVOR coordination.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct surgical services on the operating room (OR) team(s).
• Work within specialized areas that treat open-heart (cardiovascular) patients.
• Ensure that sterile procedures are followed, necessary equipment and medications are available, and that patient safety is always assured.
• Participate in patient care, clinical decision-making, monitoring, and CVOR coordination.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of client information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

Required Qualifications
• One or more year(s) of current experience within the Cardiovascular Operating Room.
• Educated on and follows HIPAA regulations; maintains strict confidentiality of client information.

Education Requirement
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.

Certifications
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse with active license(s) in the state(s) in which employed and practices.
