Job Description

He aha te tūranga - About the role:

An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced assistant manager to join our Nelson retail team. In this role, you will oversee the smooth running of our Nelson Retail Store +:15 - 3:15 on Saturdays, and work 3.5 hours on a weekday, totaling + hours per week.

Ideally you will also be available to cover for the Store Manager on other days of the week, if required. Some of the key responsibilities include:

Supporting store managers in operations and achieving the shop’s revenue targets
Sorting donations and restocking shelves
Maintaining store displays and cleanliness
Collaborating with the manager to price goods appropriately
Encouraging and supporting exceptional customer service
Leading and motivating volunteers

The store will be closed on the public holidays, ideally, you will be available to provide coverage for the days between the public holidays during the Christmas and New Year period.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Experience in retail and interest in second-hand goods
Ability to lead and motivate volunteers
Customer focused with a "can-do" attitude
Organised with an eye or detail
Great interpersonal skills
