Do you have valuable experience working with tamariki and rangatahi?

VOYCE Whakarongo Mai is seeking two superstars to join our wonderful team of Kaiwhakamana (Advocates) to champion the voices of care experienced tamariki and rangatahi (young people in the care of Oranga Tamariki) across the Ikaroa Rawhiti region. We have two positions available - one is fixed term for 12 months to provide cover while we undertake an exciting internal project, and the other is a permanent, full-time role. Our ideal candidate will be based in Hastings (where our regional office is) or Central Hawke's Bay, but we are open to exceptional candidates in Wairoa and Gisborne who are highly skilled in working independently and effectively in a remote environment, with the ability to travel regularly to our Hastings office.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build and nurture relationships with young people, support tūhono (events), and develop relationships with a variety of stakeholders. It is important to note that in order to effectively carry out this role, travel across the Hawkes Bay region will be required. You will be working alongside a fantastic team of Kaiwhakamana based across the region, who are passionate about championing the voices of care experienced tamariki and rangatahi.

In this full-time position, you’ll be working to enhance the Kaupapa and values of VOYCE Whakarongo Mai and ensure the voices of care experienced tamariki and rangatahi are heard and valued.
