Job Description

ZIMMERMANN has a fantastic and exciting career opportunity for a Garment Technician to join our high performing and innovative Design team.

Reporting to the Pattern Room Manager, this role is well suited to someone who is ­­driven towards technical product development. This a great opportunity to work closely with Designers and Pattern Makers to ensure the production of garments that are of the highest quality and excellent fit ­­

As a Garment Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

Following design direction specify and create detailed technical packs
Manage detailed BOMs
Responsible from first prototype to multiple sales man samples
Participate in fittings to resolve design and fit changes and make relevant changes to the garment specifications
Accurately measure samples and translate to technical pack to ensure high quality sample making
Liaise successfully with external factories to support the sample process
Responsible throughout the fitting process to accurately update technical specifications until approved production sample
Manage BOM until production handover
Provide accurate grading information in line with Zimmermann standards
Work closely with design, production and QA teams to resolve quality issues.
Collaborate successfully with designers, pattern makers and design room management
Successfully prepare production samples according to the critical path
Work collaboratively with the grading and garment technical team
What you can bring to the role:

Tertiary qualifications in pattern making and garment construction
Excellent knowledge in pattern making, garment construction, fitting workmanship and manufacturing.
Able to build and develop strong relationships with a multitude of personnel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Be exceptionally well organized.
Computer proficiency in PLM, Gerber/Lectra,Clo3D, Microsoft Office, Photoshop and Illustrator.
