Job description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Event Planner role in the higher education industry, based in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, United States. The chosen candidate will be responsible for coordinating both internal and external events, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring smooth execution of each event. Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of event planning, including liaising with external clients and internal teams.• Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure deadlines are met.• Initiate, coordinate and/or participate in all efforts to publicize events.• Secure and book a suitable venue or location.• Coordinate event logistics, including registration and attendee tracking, presentation and materials support and pre- and post-event evaluations.• Keep inventory of backdrops, projectors, computers, and other display materials.• Work with the technology and facilities teams to ensure all necessary arrangements are made for each event.• Develop and manage event budgets, and provide periodic progress reports to staff directors for each event project.• Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.• Serve as liaison with vendors on event-related matters
