You will be able to demonstrate:

Openness to understanding and valuing Te Ao Māori
A commitment to biculturalism and the promise of equity laid down by Te Tiriti
An ability to deeply engage, motivate and offer consistent kindness
Trauma capable skills and understanding
Consistent attention to safety and wellbeing which underpins all aspects of practice.
Able to form strong, positive, trusting relationships with tamariki and whānau
Self-regulation and co-regulation skills
Social and emotional coaching skills
Skills in restorative practice
Observation and report writing skills
Group programme facilitation skills
Level, 2, 3 or 4 New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing issued by NZQA; or a qualification that is recognised by the relevant industry training organisation as being equivalent to the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing; or a Teacher aide qualification; or other relevant qualification.
Willingness to undertake rostered work hours
