About the role:
As a newly created role, the Despatch & Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the supply chain operation from dispatch to customer, ensuring all orders are packed, dispatched and delivered in full, on time, and in spec within deadlines.
This role is responsible for:
Leading and coordinating dispatch and freight teams, including truck drivers
Ensuring all products dispatched are packed and labelled to a high standard
Collaborating and communicating regularly with Sales and Production to ensure customer order fulfilment and production efficiency
Organising and coordinating all outgoing and incoming freight, including coordinating drivers and scheduling truck runs
Resolving all freight issues (e.g. late deliveries, tracking missing product, etc.) and ensuring customers are constantly updated of progress if resolving the issue
Cross checking freight manifested against freight invoiced to ensure correct charging
Regularly identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities
About you:
Previous leadership experience
Sound understanding of trucking industry including driver responsibilities and obligations advantageous
Forklift licence
Customer service experience preferred
Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Able to work in cold environment (our factory is set between 2 and 5 degrees Celsius)
Able to be flexible with hours
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
Adaptable and open to new ideas & changes that may arise
