For over 125 years, T&G Fresh has nourished generations of Kiwis with fresh fruit and vegetables. We grow, pack, market, sell, distribute, import and export fresh produce from our own orchards and farms, as well as from over 700 Kiwi growers.

About the opportunity

We're looking for a Sales Specialist to join our awesome team at T&G Fresh in Wellington. Based onsite at our fresh produce market, you'll also be responsible for a customer base in the wider region

Key responsibilities include:

Source and sell fresh produce to retail / wholesale customers
Build quality relationships with colleagues, customers, and growers
Grow market share and secure new business
Process quotes and sales orders in SAP
In-store fresh produce merchandising
This is an interactive sales role based in our market which is open for trading from 5am -the early start means that the afternoons are yours to enjoy! You’ll also get out and about in the Wellington region, visiting customers and doing in-store merchandising. Due to the 24/7 nature of the fresh produce industry, flexibility is required for rostered weekend hours on a monthly basis.

About you

You're an experienced sales person with an energetic approach, who thrives in a team environment. We’re open to candidates from a range of industry backgrounds, though experience in a hands-on, operational environment and an interest in fruit and veg would be an advantage!

You have exceptional communication and customer service skills, a proactive attitude and a collaborative, flexible working style. The world of fresh produce moves fast, so you'll need top time management skills, and the ability to solve logistical challenges against the clock.
