Dispatch Warehouse Assistant

Join a leading garment and knitwear manufacturer in a dynamic role supporting our Warehouse and Logistics Team Leader.

We are currently looking for an organised, energetic and results focused Warehouse and Dispatch person to join our team at our Mount Wellington Head Office.

McDonald Textiles Ltd is a knitwear specialist manufacturer, distributor, and retailer. We supply our brands locally and internationally.

We specialise in Merino wool, Possum and Mulberry silk knits and clothing. Stylish, comfortable and warm clothing designed and made in New Zealand.

The McDonald team works at our purpose-built manufacturing plant in Auckland. Our expert craftspeople are the best in their field, combining years of experience with a passion for their craft.



About the role:

Your key tasks will be ensuring the warehouse operations are completed on time with care and flawless results. Tasks include:

Supporting operations in the warehouse and dispatch area
Generating picking slips
Data & stock entry
Stock-taking ensuring stock accuracy at all times
Picking and preparing customer orders (wholesale and online orders)
Invoicing
Booking couriers and dispatching customer orders
Receiving in goods
General miscellaneous warehouse duties as required
A commitment to the principles of Continuous Improvement in all areas of the workplace, systems, product quality and Health & Safety


Skills Required:

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Good computer literacy including Microsoft office programs
Responsible and reliable
Great organisational skills
Effective communicator
Initiative & problem-solving skills
High energy and motivation
You will enjoy working in a busy environment, be comfortable lifting and moving heavy boxes, like working at pace, have a keen eye for detail, be a quick learner with a can-do attitude.

Experience in customer service/dispatch/or similar support roles are a bonus.
