Epiq, New Zealand's premium supplier of transcription services, provides court reporting and transcription services for government agencies, law firms and private clients. We are seeking home-based transcribers throughout New Zealand to join our home-based team on an independent contractor basis. They will be involved in creating transcripts from audio files that meet the clients' requirements and are produced to the highest possible standard.

Essential pre-requisites:

• Must work on a PC, not a Mac

• Typing speed minimum of 75 wpm preferred

• Excellent English vocabulary and grammar skills

• Good general and local knowledge

• Exceptional hearing and comprehension

• Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word

• Must have the right to work in NZ

Prior experience of transcribing multi-speaker audio is strongly preferred, but candidates without such experience who meet the above pre-requisites and are capable, enthusiastic and quick to learn are encouraged to apply. Comprehensive training and support will be provided. Work assignments are on a variety of turnarounds, with most demand for same-day or overnight work. Please note that we are not able to guarantee a set work volume.

Epiq are looking for transcribers to work on multi-speaker audio, single speaker audio, or both.

Candidates will be required to undergo an English test and a typing test. Successful candidates will need to have a Ministry of Justice Criminal Conviction Check (organised by Epiq).
