Book enthusiast wanted | Paper Plus Howick

We are looking for a Book enthusiast to join our awesome team!

Prefer local candidates from Howick area. (East Auckland)

Part-time, must be able to work during the week (at least 3 days) Mon - Friday. Some weekend work may be available. It can be a full-time role for the right candidate if they can do retail work as well.

Book buying/book reviewing, merchandising preferred.
Retail and/or NZ Post experience will be a bonus.
Must be computer literate. Good communication skills are essential.
Must be to able assist with lifting and stocking up book shelves.


We’re looking for someone who:

• can work with book reps to buy books
• loves to read books – because you will be asked for recommendations
• likes to stay busy and self-motivated – due to the nature of the business there are busy
• monitoring stock levels
• following up on outstanding instore and online orders
• checking delivery quantities
• keeping the store clean, tidy and well-stocked at all times

You will need the following qualities and experience:

• excellent communication skills
• enthusiasm for customer service
• goal-orientated
• eye for detail and love of accuracy
• ability to work as part of a team
• willingness to contribute to continuous improvement
