Job Description
We are currently looking for a Part-time, dedicated Cattery Assistant to join our lovely team at Crofton Downs Vet Clinic in Wellington.
Covering 25 hours per week, working split shifts of 3 hours each weekday morning and 2 hours each weekday afternoon, starting at around 7am and again from around 4pm in the afternoon. These hours could increase during busy times of Public Holidays, School Holidays and Christmas/New Year.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
General cleaning of the cattery, including cages, cat runs and floors
Cleaning dishes and equipment
Feeding the cats
Accurate recording of activities of each cat
Assisting the Cattery Manager or Clinic Manager when required
The Purrfect addition to our team shows:
Dedication, reliability, and initiative
A genuine love and compassion for animals, in particular – cats
A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Availability to work during our peak seasons is essential (public holidays and school holidays)
Ability to work unsupervised and follow instructions while maintain great communication
Previous cattery experience desirable yet not essential
