Surveyors

We are on the lookout for Surveyors to join our great team here at Patersons. We are hiring for our Queenstown and Wānaka offices, and we will consider permanent and short-term contracts for these regions.

Patersons have been in business for over 100 years and have a large network of clients across the South Island. We work on a range of diverse projects such as Skyline Gondola, New Dunedin Hospital, Ayrburn and a number of large-scale subdivisions.

We are searching for someone who has:

A relevant land surveying qualification
Experience on land development projects
Experience with 12d Model and CAD software
Experience with NZ codes and standards
Ideally minimum 3 years' industry experience
Negotiation and relationship building skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
The ability to work well independently and within a team environment
In this role you will:

Provide accurate, precise and up-to-date information pertaining to location of boundaries, topography, legal descriptions/title information, set out of precise construction works and land development infrastructure.
Carry out land title surveys and to lodge them into the national land titles system in New Zealand – under the supervision of a Licensed Cadastral Surveyor.
Liaise with associated professionals on land development infrastructure designs and prepare plans/documentation in support of land developments.
Project Management of surveying projects (time, cost, stakeholders, resources etc) and including outsourcing works to contractors as required.
Foster good relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
