The deputy principal is responsible for all of the Junior School (Y1–3). The position requires an experienced junior class teacher who has held leadership roles within the junior school.

We are looking for an enthusiastic kaiako who is a collaborative inquiry-focused professional committed to providing equitable outcomes for all our tamariki.

An effective knowledge of junior class NZ Curriculum is essential. The successful applicant will demonstrate a growing understanding of Structured Literacy in the junior class environment.

Our school is a bilingual school with all classes operating at either L3 or L2 MLL.

Classes are supported by a kai-a-rahi i te reo Māori and a kaiāwhina.

The successful applicant must have the skill set to provide guidance and professional leadership across junior classes curriculum within a bilingual environment, including te reo me ōna Tikanga Māori.

Our teaching team is committed to creating extended family/whānau like contexts for learning which are culturally responsive within all learning experiences: Manaakitanga; Kaitiakitanga; Kotahitanga; Whanaungatanga.

The position is a teaching one which attracts management release days, CRT and 3MU.
