Grow Your Staff is looking for a Documentary Filmmaker for an independent film company based in North Carolina, USA. The position is a part-time remote opportunity.

The role will have excellent growth opportunities. You will work directly with the team based in the USA.

Experience required: 4-6 years

CTC: 4-6 LPA (Part-Time)

Location: Remote

Time: 6:30 PM to 3:30 AM IST (Monday - Friday)

Requirements: 3 hours/day (subject to change based on business)

Responsibilities
• Edit long-form documentary footage, including rough cuts, fine cuts, and final versions.
• Collaborate closely with the filmmaker to ensure the project’s vision and narrative are accurately portrayed.
• Organise and manage footage, maintaining an efficient archiving system for easy access.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions promptly while upholding high-quality standards.
• Provide creative input to enhance storytelling and visual impact.
• Ensure consistency and attention to detail throughout the post-production process.
• Organize raw media content using metadata and tags to optimize usage across all creative teams.
• Follow an editing schedule set by the filmmaker and incorporate feedback.
• Work efficiently and continuously learn with each project.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree in Video Editing, a related discipline, or equivalent.
• Highly proficient in Adobe Premier Pro (Mandatory).
• Proven experience in editing long-form documentaries or similar content.
• Strong understanding of narrative structure, pacing, and visual storytelling.
• Passion for documentary filmmaking with a focus on creating high-quality, festival-ready content.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
