We are looking for a Medical Receptionist who is welcoming and friendly.

The Eye Surgery Hastings is New Zealand’s first fully solar powered, carbon neutral eye care facility with a busy outpatient service and operating theatre suite.


Successful candidates will join our small team of caring, motivated and hard working doctors, nurses, technicians and administration staff.

While prior experience working in an ophthalmic healthcare environment is desirable, of more importance is your work ethic and willingness to fully embrace working responsibly as part of a team.

Tasks:

Greeting patients

General reception duties and administration tasks

Answering telephone calls and emails

Processing invoices, insurance claims, utilising Southern Cross and NIB portals

Processing monthly creditor statements for payment

Skills:

Quick at picking up new technology and systems

Friendly and approachable with a caring and empathetic nature

Willingness to be a team player

High level of written and verbal communication skills

Excellent keyboard skills, competent using the Microsoft suite - Word, Outlook, Excel

Accounts payable experience preferred

Extensive training and ongoing support will be provided

5 afternoon sessions Monday - Friday, though extra up to full time hours will be considered for the right candidate
