The Hastings District Council has a vacancy for a Skate Park Guardian. This role ensures the Flaxmere Skate Park is a safe and user friendly place that will attract families and youth to enjoy the surroundings and environment. This is a permanent part-time position with a minimum of 25 hours per week based on a Monday to Sunday roster. For clarity, this position requires the successful candidate to work on weekends and into the early evenings. The successful applicant will need to be flexible with actual hours worked and working on public holidays may be required.
This role is responsible for promoting the Skate Park as a safe and user-friendly environment and ensures the prevention and determent of anti-social behaviour and crime.
The successful applicant will be a fit, confident, and responsible individual who has had experience in dealing with youth and youth development. They will also need to have a mature, even-tempered and cooperative nature, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly.
