Early Childhood Teacher

We are on the lookout for our next bubbly, motivated and friendly Early Childhood Teacher. This position is for an Early Childhood Teacher who has full teaching registration or is actively working towards gaining full registration. Our ECT will work with all children aged 0-5 within our Centre to develop strong relationships and enhance our program in a way that is fun and stimulating with a focus on centre-wide community projects and inquiry based learning.

This is a permanent part-time position of 6 hours a day, with service hours operating between 6:30 – 18:00.

A day in the life of an Early Childhood Teacher…

Supporting role in enhancing the current curriculum by bringing in your individual areas of expertise
Embedding the values, practices and principals of the EYLF
Community involvement and Aboriginal perspectives
Forming bonds across the service with all educators and children
Creating and delving into centre-wide projects encompassing each room and individual learning goals
Assisting educators with assessments of learning
Using routine tasks as intentional teaching moments

Willing to be recognised as the early childhood teacher


Skills & Experience

A degree in Early Childhood Education and Care or completed 50% of an Early Childhood Degree
A Valid Working with Children Card
Current First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain
Valid Child Protection training or willing to obtain
Experienced Early Childhood Teacher highly regarded
An understanding of both the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
Proven Educator experience within an Early childhood service (working with children 0-5 years)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
