Location: Hybrid: Camden Office (London) and working from home.
Employment time: Permanent full-time
Compensation: TBC subject to experience

About Us

Cooking Vinyl is a leading independent record label established in 1+86, based in North London. We are home to an eclectic mix of artists across different genres including Shed Seven, Billy Bragg, Elles Bailey, Deacon Blue, The Prodigy, The Darkness, and many more.

About You

We are looking for a passionate, detail-oriented, and music-loving Label Assistant to join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain valuable insight into the independent music scene, build your skills, and make real contributions to the success of our artists. The role is ideal for those interested in marketing, production and operations of a record label.

As well as working on a wide range of artist campaigns, you'll also be working on varied products from digital streaming singles & albums, vinyl, CD & Super Deluxe Box Sets.

Responsibilities including but not limited to
• Supporting the frontline & catalogue team on all aspects of campaigns and releases.
• Working closely with artist managers, artists, designers and studios on delivery of assets.
• Proofreading artwork & working with external designers.
• Drafting press releases, writing project descriptions, and sales notes.
• General admin, booking couriers, ordering sample stock.
• Chasing production assets for both digital and physical formats.

What we're looking for
• Passion for independent music and social media savvy.
• A minimum six months experience working in a music industry environment.
• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• A can-do attitude, with the ability to solve problems quickly.
• Basic familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (preferred).
• A good knowledge of physical music formats & digital streaming services.
