Climbing High Nurseries is looking for a Cook / Chef to join our team at The Day Nursery at Oakham.

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday - Friday 8.30-16.30

Job Description:
• To provide balanced and nutritional meals for all the children attending the nursery, this will include providing separate meals for those children with specific dietary requirements.
• To ensure all relevant records are kept in line with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene to a high standard to comply with the Environmental Health Department.
• To work closely with the Nursery Manager and Education Leads within the nursery to keep up to date with all dietary requirements.
• To liaise with the Nursery Manager to support nursery events with specific foods.
• To ensure that hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen is of the highest standard in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation.
• To make sure all foods are ready at the specific time and correctly served, making sure all food is correct including those children with known allergies, intolerances and preferences.
• To keep up to date with stock rotation, maintaining correct stock levels, ensuring stock rotation and making sure stock is labelled correctly.
• Having good time management, to ensure that the kitchen is running smoothly
• To assist the nursery with general cleaning in communal areas and keeping on top of laundry throughout the day.
