This vacancy for an Engineering Lab Technician is a very important one and certainly an opportunity to work with a vibrant young company, doing positive things for a greener future.
The role is based in the Great Chesterford area of South Cambridgeshire.
The Role:
• Preparing lab materials and solutions
• Lab activities, including some light machining and assembly
• Carrying out inspection and testing
• Maintaining and calibrating lab equipment
• Monitoring and maintaining lab stocks
About You:
• Qualified or experienced in a science/engineering related discipline
• Previous experience working in a mechanical, engineering or electronics environment, ideally incorporating mechanical assembly, use of mills/drills - ideally in an R&D environment
• Intricate, methodical approach to assembly, material preparation and testing
• Understanding H&S in a lab context
• Understanding of 5S and/or other continuous improvement tools
• Experience of wet chemistry techniques would also be useful
