Position: Windows /Windows OS Engineer

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: Long Term - 12+Months

Experience: 12+ years

Must have Skills:
• Windows SCCM
• Windows server all version
• Windows SQL server
• PowerShell

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement IPU (In-Place Upgrade) solutions for Windows operating systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute Windows migration projects, including pre-migration assessments, testing, and deployment strategies.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows upgrades and migrations, ensuring system stability and compatibility.

Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell) to streamline the migration process.

Document migration procedures, technical specifications, and best practices for system upgrades.

Monitor the performance of upgraded systems and implement optimizations as needed.

Assist in developing strategies for maintaining compatibility with various hardware and software configurations during upgrades.

Provide technical support and guidance to other teams on IPU-related processes and technologies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

5+ years of experience in Windows system engineering, including experience with Windows 10/11 and Windows Server environments.

Proven experience in managing and executing Windows migration projects and In-Place Upgrades (IPU).

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.

Knowledge of deployment tools such as SCCM, MDT, or Intune.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.
