Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic and experienced Enterprise Data Architect to drive the modernization of our enterprise technology landscape. This role requires a deep understanding of the transportation industry and the ability to align technology initiatives with business goals to enhance operational efficiency, customer experience, and overall business performance.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement enterprise architecture strategies that support the organization's modernization goals.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technology solutions.
• Oversee the implementation of scalable, secure, and resilient technology architectures.
• Ensure alignment of technology solutions with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the development of architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
• Conduct regular assessments of the current technology landscape and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage and mitigate risks associated with technology changes and implementations.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the technology team.

Top Skills:
• Industry experience in transportation, specifically trucking/asset-based.
• Enterprise Data Architecture (not a Solutions Architect role) - understanding the relationships between various components of applications, infrastructure, and business processes.
• Agile
• Modern Data Architecture

Enterprise Required Skills:
• Architecture, enterprise architecture, cloud, design, strategy, agile, integration

Work Environment:
• Remote or hybrid if local to Omaha/Lincoln.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in CS, CIS, or ITS, or equivalent education and work experience in an IT-related field.
• 10+ years of experience delivering production-quality, scalable, secure software systems.
• 5+ years of experience in Agile practices.
• Commitment to increasing and improving technical skills, methodologies, and architectures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to organize and plan work effectively.
• Ability to interact with diverse team members.
• Proven ability to execute and learn new technologies quickly.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
