Position Title: Oracle Database Administrator

Hourly Pay: $60/hr on W2

Position Description:

The Technical Architect will architect the overall system by using prototyping and proof of concepts, which may include: modern programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, Node.js) and web frameworks (e.g., Django, Rails), modern front-end web programming techniques (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs) and frameworks (e.g., Twitter Bootstrap, jQuery), relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and “NoSQL” databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB), automated configuration management (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt), continuous integration/deployment, and continuous monitoring solutions; use version control systems (e.g., Git and GitHub); ensure strategic alignment of technical design and architecture to meet business growth and direction, and stay on top of emerging technologies; decompose business and system architecture to support clean-interface multi-team development; develop product roadmaps, backlogs, and measurable success criteria, and write user stories (i.e., can establish a path to delivery for breaking down stories) and clearly communicate and work with stakeholders at every level.

Skills Preferred:

Skilled in Oracle database performance tuning. Skilled with Oracle database backups, restores, and disaster recovery designs and deployments. Automation of routine manual Oracle database system management tasks using scripting tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Oracle Enterprise Manager. Skilled in deploying, configuring, and supporting databases in Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2, RDS, MongoDB, Oracle MySQL. Knowledge of AWS monitoring and logging services. Skilled in deploying security patches following vendor best practices. Possesses excellent communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external management teams, developers, network and infrastructure teams.

Experience Preferred:

Ten (10) plus years in the following: -Supporting Oracle versions 12.x; -Planning, deploying, and managing Oracle Patch Security Updates; -Configuring, deploying, and managing Oracle Advanced Security Option to maintain database security; -Configuring and deploying Oracle Grid architectures; -Architecting Oracle database system deployments on Windows O/S, Linux, AWS, Unix, running on IBM AIX and VMware infrastructures; -Utilizing Oracle replication methods such as Data Guard; -Scripting using WMI, PowerShell, Perl, Python, Jenkins, and Ansible for automating database administration tasks; -Implementing Oracle database backups, restores, disaster recovery processes using enterprise class backup software solutions such as CommVault; -Deploying, upgrading, managing, monitoring Oracle databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform; -Configuring Oracle Audit Vault, Key Vault, and Oracle Enterprise Manager; -Configuring and management of Oracle RAC.
